I am Dr Arvin Raj, a Consultant Sports Medicine Physician (MSportsMed, University Malaya), and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2018 with 20 years training experience.
I have been very much passionate to bring a positive change to the fitness industry via educating and helping the public via my coaching and medical practice. As a practicing physician, I emphasize the importance of exercise especially strength training to the general public. I walk and talk sustainability, because I truly belief that exercise and nutrition has to be sustainable for it to be prioritized.
As a Coach, I use both my years of experience and knowledge to help my clients. None of the programs that I design is cookie cut. I cater for various client demographics, from those who are competitive to those who are just looking to get healthier. Every program that I design is after thoroughly considering my client’s lifestyle, goals and health conditions. Educating my clients is definitely top priority.
Dr Triton Sports Medicine Clinic is led by Dr. Arvin Raj, a renowned Consultant Sports Medicine Physician (MSportsMed, Universiti Malaya) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA). Dr Arvin is also the current Chief Medical Officer of Malaysian Association for Powerlifting and in the International Powerlifting Federation Medical Committee. Our clinic is dedicated to diagnosing and treating individuals with musculoskeletal injuries and pain, covering a range of areas such as bone, cartilage, muscle, peripheral nerves, tendons, and ligaments.

I have spear headed multiple seminars in the field of hypertrophy and strength. One of my biggest goal is to revolutionize the fitness industry by using both evidence and experience to guide our clients. For me to realize this dream, I believe that education is key. Sharing my knowledge and experience with the latest scientific evidence as backing has been my way to educate trainers, physiotherapists and the general public.
I have also actively competed in local bodybuilding competitions including Mr Sarawak and Mr Selangor and now a competitive Powerlifter.
I am also the Co-Founder of Barbell Machas which is a fitness podcast to deliver the latest information on the spicy science of lifting.

The workshop was conducted in a professional way, content was up to date and stayed relevant in the industry, which makes us very easy to apply the knowledge. I didn’t expect to bring home so much knowledge from the 2 days workshop. I also have a lot more questions but I know I need to apply more to find out.
