So glad to be moving like this again. It was just a year or 2 ago that I actually believed that it was my time to slow down. Each training session with the @kuchingparkour boys, my knee would just swell up the next day, would be in pain for at least a week. Only to swell up again after the next session.
For some reason, I forced myself to come back every week, even if it’s just for low impact flow type drills.
Towards the latter half of 2023, I sought out Dr Arvin’s help and guidance on the strength and conditioning front. Good old fashion evidence based strength training mixed in with some emphasis on generating power, tailored to my goals and interests.
Gradually, as the months went by, impacts were getting more tolerable, had more confidence to gradually push my own limits. Really had the realization that having a solid base from consistent strength training allows me to enjoy this hobby of mine safely for atleast a couple more years.
I truly appreciate Dr Arvin’s knowledge and guidance and am looking forward to see how far I can keep on going at this.

I knew Arvin through his fitness podcast ‘Barbell Machas ‘ on Spotify and have been learning a lot through it hence why I decided to pick up the online coaching training with him.
As a Personal Trainer for 8 years myself , Arvin has been my online coach for the past 1 year ,with his guidance in terms of programming and some other useful tips ,I’ve learned a lot fitness knowledge and of course my body has gotten a lot fitter compared to 1 year ago when I just started .
I would strongly recommend anyone who’re interested in picking up online training or wanted to breakthrough their plateau to train with him.

I have been training for 6 years plus now . Tried multiple coaches , online programmes , and also different forms including calisthenics , but nothing was as sustainable , enjoyable , and effective as Dr Arvin’s training !
Most importantly, he has tremendous amount of theoretical knowledge and years of field experience , and this directly translates into his coaching, which is smooth and practical above all . I’m a sport science graduate and also a coach, myself.
Under the guidance of Dr Arvin, not only my performance in resistance training has increase, my knowledge and mindset toward fitness and health has improved tremendously.He has a way to provide information which allows the audience to understand.

First came to know about Dr. Arvin from his IG. He posted lots of info regarding fitness as well the science behind it with legit information. Also he has podcast – Barbell Machas which full of information regarding fitness. When he posted he has slots opening for online training I straight applied for it.
So far I have been with Dr. Arvin for 3 months and I have renewed for another 3 months too. During these 3 months – I’ve not only gained back my strength which I have lost in the passed 2 years ( due to MCO ) and also I have achieved few PRs and Dr. Arvin said it is just the beginning, this makes me even more excited to see what more can I achieve. The workout Dr. Arvin designed for me, it’s personalised. As he designed according to my capability and also to my level of fitness. I submit videos of the workouts and he will correct it accordingly if there’s any. Also he puts it into layman terms which is easy for me to understand how and where I could improve.
He is a Sport Medicine Physician, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist ( NSCA ) MSportsMed (UM), he is also a fitness coach. Even though we catch up weekly, however if you have doubts you can contact Dr Arvin anytime of the day, he will reply without hesitation whenever he is free. Frankly I have not only gained strength but also gained confidence going alone to the gym and videoing myself during the workouts and finally I want to say – Online Coaching works with Dr Arvin! If you see any opening from Dr. Arvin – GRAB IT !!! You will gain personal effectiveness in all aspect of life beyond you can imagine!

I first came across Dr Arvin on his Barbell Machas podcast series. I liked how he has always been straight and kept to facts. No fad diets or fad workouts and backed it all with science. When he opened up his online coaching program back in Q4 2021, I jumped at the opportunity to sign-up and no regrets, and he is legit.
I shared what my goals are and he designed personalized workouts for me. We started off with the basics weight lifting as we both needed to get used to each other, me learning how to train online and Dr Arvin to understand what I am capable of doing. This is with the intent of doing the exercises correctly and injury free. He often told me repetitive exercise is the best as we can gauge the progress. I do have to admit repeating the exercise not only made me master it to the best of my ability, to do it correctly and we are able to evaluate progress. I have seen my strength growing with the progressive overloads since day 1.
Initial days and for many months, I used to video my exercises and forward to Dr Arvin to get his feedback. He reviews them and helps me correct my forms and how I can improve. He takes the time to patiently explain and shares videos on how to do the exercises he has designed for me. He reverts as soon as he is able to and still do to this day. Weekly updates help the both of us tweak and make adjustments as we go along. Frankly, I have become independent and confident in working out and online coaching works.

First of all I want to thank you for always giving me realistic expectations for my goals and making sure I’m aware of how to expect the progress I will be making. The tips and tweaks to simple exercises to make them more worth my buck was also one takeaway from this experience I will always treasure.
Thank you for being available to answer any and all questions I have. I tried thinking about it but I cant seem to find anything I would change from my time under your coaching. Your guidance in finding ways to add daily steps, nutrition, adjusting workouts based on daily performance all added up and helped reshape my perception towards training.
